THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and values-driven leader to join Women's Safety Services SA as Program Manager, Domestic Violence Crisis Line (DVCL).  

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Program Manager is responsible for the leadership, management and coordination of service delivery across the Domestic Violence Crisis Line, Safe At Home and Personal Protection App programs.  These critical services provide crisis intake, case management, outreach and safety-focussed responses to people impacted by domestic and family violence.  

The role provides leadership, guidance and support to Team Leaders and service delivery teams to ensure high-quality, client-centred services that align with WSSSA's values, practice model and contractual obligations.  Working collaboratively across the organisation and with key external stakeholders, the Program Manager contributes to coordinated service responses, continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of innovative and effective domestic and family violence services.  

This full time position promotes and maintains a healthy and productive workplace through positive leadership, effective delegation, transparent decision-making and a strong commitment to quality service delivery, safety and accountability.

ABOUT YOU

If you are a collaborative and values-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.  As a key member of the WSSSA leadership team, you will bring a hands-on approach to leadership, balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day operational support.  You will enjoy working across complex service environments, leading diverse teams and building strong relationships with staff, client and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for people impacted by domestic and family violence.  

To be successful in this role, you will have significant leadership experience and a proven ability to manage multiple, complex teams, including services operating across shift work and remote working arrangements.  You will also demonstrate:

• A degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience commensurate with the requirements of the role;
• Experience in developing, and implementing program plans for people affected by domestic and family violence;
• A strong understanding of risk and safety management strategies for people who have experienced DFV
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse and highly vulnerable communities, including First Nations and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities;
• Significant experience in leading people through the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, coaching and performance management;
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external partnerships.
• A current full Australian drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
