THE ROLE

Our Domestic Violence Crisis Line (DVCL) is a fast paced busy and intensive 24/7 telephone service, providing state-wide crisis responses to clients and their children experiencing Domestic & Family Violence.

The Emergency Accommodation Administrative Officer is a new pilot role within the Domestic Violence Crisis Line. It is responsible for administrative support to DVCL Crisis Response Specialists to place victim-survivors in emergency accommodation, including booking and managing accommodation, transport and practical support. This role also supports information sharing, reporting and data collection.

Potential for full or part time hours with hours to be negotiated.  Negotiated hours to be worked across a roster between 7am-7pm (Mon&Fri) and 9am-5pm (Tues-Thu).  Initially offered on a fixed term contract until June 2027, based in the WSSSA head office in Adelaide.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this exciting and demanding role you will need:

  • Qualification in administrative management and IT, or experience commensurate with the position
  • Strong administration skills and advanced competency in using the Microsoft Office Suite and client management systems (ideal);
  • A high level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and plan and manage workload;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, & initiative to problem solve and initiate planned responses.
  • A current drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
