THE ROLE

The Women’s Safety Contact Program (WSCP) is a Statewide telephone based service that provides casework services to protected person(s) and their children, affected by domestic and family violence whose partners (or former partners) are involved in a Domestic Violence Abuse Prevention Program. 

An opportunity to join the program as a Women's Advocate, part time basis (0.6-0.8 FTE), on a fixed term contract to 30 June 2026 initially with an option to extend, contingent upon continued funding.  

 

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this position you will have significant knowledge and experience in the provision of services to women and children affected by domestic and family violence. 

  • Hold or be studying towards a degree level qualification in Social Work or hold a tertiary degree in a related discipline with commensurate experience with the position.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in the provision of case management responses and casework intervention
  • Understanding of risk assessments and safety management planning;
  • Previous experience working in crisis, domestic violence or related setting;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high empathy, and able to support clients of diverse backgrounds;
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex caseloads;
  • Experience in managing electronic client records, and strong attention to detail;
  • A current full drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
