THE ROLE
WSSSA has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Finance and Shared Services Manager to join Shared Services function based at our head office in Mile End.
Reporting directly to the CFO the successful applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of Shared Services operations and the effective and efficient functioning of all finance activities. The role will focus on financial accounting, team management processes and reporting improvements. With a key requirement to plan, coordinate and undertake EOM/EOQ/EOY activities and responsibility of accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations and fixed assets.
Working on a part time basis (0.8FTE), the role will be responsible for our friendly, dedicated Shared Services team.

ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role you will have passion for social justice and a desire to use your financial and leadership skills to ensure best practice and services for our not-for-profit organisation. You will also have:
- A tertiary degree in financial management or accounting is required, or as is substantial relevant experience commensurate with the position;
- Significant experience in positive management of staff;
- Strong understanding of Accounting standards and legislation as they relate to finance;
- Highly developed skills in preforming high level accounting functions;
- Sound understanding of EA, SCHADS award and payroll as it relates to finance;
- High level skills in finance processes, and high understanding in the use of IT, finance and other business applications.
- A current full drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
