THE ROLE - Connection, Strength and Recovery (CSR)- Domestic & Family Violence
In line with National Partnership goals CSR identifies gaps in current systems supports for victim-survivors of DFV. They consult, codesign and implement as appropriate, a model of recovery support that meets individual and community needs.
As a Community Development Worker/Facilitators -Domestic & Family Violence you will provide specialised therapeutic educational and support groups, review risk assessments and safety planning with clients, and where required, provide a brief case management service that facilitates sustainable community connections and support for clients.
WSSSA have a full time position available with community development activities based in the Eastern and Western regions of metropolitan Adelaide. Currently funded until 30 June 2025, extension subject to funding.

ABOUT YOU
Do you have experience in the development of therapeutic educative based programs that build individual capacity and promote recovery form the effects of violence and trauma? If so, this could be the role for you. Other key requirement include:
- A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Excellent knowledge of theoretical approaches and practice foundations applicable when working with women and children experiencing domestic and Aboriginal family violence.
- Knowledge of community co-design principles and strong ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and community leaders.
- Experience working in partnership with First Nations and CALD communities to develop culturally safe community activities and service responses
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with government, non-government and community organisations
- A current full drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance
